Job Summary:We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing individualized nutrition counseling, conducting health screenings, and developing programs to promote healthy eating habits. You'll work closely with our customers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to create a positive impact on the health and well-being of our community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personalized nutrition counseling to customers with specific health conditions, staying up-to-date on the latest nutrition research and trends.
- Conduct health screenings, including biometric, hemoglobin A1C, Omega-3 Index, and Vitamin D screenings, to assess and address customers' health needs.
- Develop and implement programs to promote healthy eating habits, including group presentations, classes, and workshops.
- Collaborate with our healthcare providers and other stakeholders to create a comprehensive approach to health and wellness.
- Stay informed about new products and services available in our stores, providing expert advice to customers on healthy food choices.
- Represent Hy-Vee in various media outlets, including TV segments, radio, podcasts, and newspaper articles, promoting our brand and values.
- Minimum of six months or more of similar or related work experience.
- Completed four-year college degree and dietetic internship approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) and certification to be a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian for the state(s) you support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality service.
