General Manager Job Description

At Panera Bread, we're looking for a talented General Manager to lead our team and drive success in our bakery-cafes. As a General Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team to deliver outstanding customer service and sales results.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage cafe operations, including inventory, labor, and food safety, to ensure seamless execution and high-quality standards.
  • Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential and promote a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and drive company-wide initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of management experience in the food service industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving profitability, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
