Key Responsibilities of the Staffing Coordinator:
  • Maintain an up-to-date directory of all resident care staff contact information.
  • Ensure the business office has the latest contact details for all department managers.
  • Keep daily records of tardiness and absenteeism.
  • Report any instances of excessive tardiness or absenteeism to the Director of Nursing (DON) in line with center policies.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and the DON to schedule modified work duty employees according to their restrictions and center policies.
  • Timely completion of necessary employee records for the nursing department upon hiring, job changes, and terminations.
  • Assist staff in accurately filling out forms related to scheduling and staffing (e.g., leave requests, time cards).
  • Develop and manage the monthly nursing schedule to ensure adequate unit coverage.
  • Prepare and distribute work schedules.
  • Coordinate schedule variances with the DON.
  • Assist in the completion and filing of designated reports according to established procedures.
  • Accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications for the Staffing Coordinator:
  • A CNA license for the state of Oklahoma is mandatory.
  • CMA and LPN licenses for the state of Oklahoma are advantageous.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, screening, and selecting candidates for various clinical roles in a long-term care environment is preferred.
  • Candidates must have a working email address and phone number for communication purposes.
  • Strong communication, professionalism, ethical practice, and relationship management skills are essential.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
  • Excellent organizational and management skills with attention to detail are highly valued.
