About the Role

This is a full-time position with Grameen America Inc., a microfinance organization empowering low-income populations to overcome poverty by providing financial resources. We are seeking a highly motivated Community Health Worker/Educator to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering health, financial literacy, and social support services to underserved women participating in our GA microfinance program. The role requires strong communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead group activities promoting health, wellness, and financial literacy among participants.
  • Implement interventions such as counseling, coaching, referral, and advocacy to facilitate access to services and resources.
  • Educate members on financial and business topics, including savings accounts, credit scores, and other relevant matters.
  • Foster positive relationships with participants from diverse backgrounds and manage participant files.
  • Collaborate with community-based organizations and institutions to reduce barriers between clients and services.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Proficient in Google Suite/Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks efficiently.
