About the Role

Cargo Robotics is seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to lead the development of our autonomous delivery platform. As a Founding Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and shipping a wide range of software and cutting-edge algorithms that power our robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software for perception, motion planning, machine learning, and fleet management & diagnostics
  • Collaborate with our hardware team to identify cross-functional dependencies and build the best possible product
  • Help source and coordinate work with specialist contract team members
  • Grow into a leadership role as the team expands

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, CS, CE, EE, Robotics, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering developing robotic systems
  • Strong software development skills in C++ and Python
  • Experience in core robotics technologies and software development
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
