Position Overview:
The Medical Assistant for Orthopedics will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within a clinical setting. This position requires a dedicated professional with clinical experience and a commitment to assisting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality medical services.

Qualifications:
- A qualified Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare environment.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or possession of a Medical Assistant Diploma, CNA, or EMT certification.
- Proficient in rooming patients and taking vital signs.
- Experience in administering injections and managing clinical tasks.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with some exposure to front office responsibilities.
- Familiarity with patient check-in processes and answering telephonic inquiries.
- Competence in scheduling appointments and maintaining patient flow.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and charting patient information.
- Ability to process laboratory requests and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for:
- Rooming patients and preparing them for examinations.
- Answering phone calls and managing appointment scheduling.
- Checking patients in and out of the clinic.
- Obtaining vital signs and patient histories.
- Administering injections and assisting with medical procedures.
- Triage responsibilities and support with C-Arm machine operations under supervision.
- Processing laboratory specimens and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Documenting patient information in EMR systems.
- Reporting to the clinical coordinator or practice administrator.
- Performing nursing tasks under the supervision of a physician or physician assistant.
- Escorting patients to examination rooms and ensuring they are comfortable.
- Providing patients with instructions as directed by healthcare providers.
- Ensuring that all necessary reports and lab results are available prior to patient appointments.
- Maintaining exam rooms with adequate medical supplies and ensuring proper sterilization of instruments.
- Taking and relaying messages from patients and front office staff to physicians.
- Maintaining logs and conducting required checks for medical supplies and equipment.
- Performing any additional duties as assigned by the clinical coordinator or practice administrator.
