Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and immunizations as prescribed by physicians
  • Obtain vital signs and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure a safe and efficient patient flow
  • Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and communication
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required within 3 months of hire
  • Five or more years of specific applicable MA experience in primary medical care may be substituted for formal training program, provided eligibility for RMA (American Medical Technologists) exam
  • A valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years
