The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and perform specialized facilities management work, including maintenance, repair, and modification of equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement predictive, preventive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize facility performance.
- Provide advice and consultation to Center personnel on facilities management matters, including compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Coordinate facilities project activities with other Center sites and departments, including new construction and renovation projects.
- Recommend work equipment and maintenance standards, procedures, and performance criteria for ongoing planned activities.
- Oversee and manage on-site inspections, assist inspectors and surveyors, and provide reports as required.
- Assess and communicate recommendations for utilization of space, space needs, equipment, personnel, and other resources to meet the Center's needs.
- Bachelor's degree or certification in facilities management or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in facilities operations management, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Valid NYS driver's license with less than 4 points and satisfactory status.
- Basic computer skills, including email and texting.
- Plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills, including the ability to notice and report problems.
- Custodial and maintenance skills, including cleaning, vacuuming, and floor care.
