About the Role

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Grain Operator to join our team. As a Grain Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our grain handling facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Maintain accurate grain inventories and segregate grain by type to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Blend and load out grain by truck or train, operating scale house software to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Work with customers to resolve any issues and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor grain grades, quality, and condition to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Operate scale house software to track and record grain movements.
  • Develop and implement problem-solving strategies to optimize grain handling processes.
Work Environment

The role requires sitting or standing for long periods, frequent walking, climbing, balancing, and moving up to 60 pounds. You will be exposed to machinery, moving parts, grain dust, hazardous materials, and adverse weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Extended seasonal hours and high noise levels are part of the job, demanding high alertness and endurance.
