Activities

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Asset Management and Operations & Maintenance teams to ensure timely and accurate accounting for solar assets
  • Supervise monthly and annual closing activities for designated entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and necessary reporting support
  • Create and execute budget versus actual analysis for each asset and provide additional reporting as required by stakeholders, ensuring variances are analyzed and addressed with action plans
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of each entity's operational activities and serve as a primary Finance Department liaison for project companies
  • Establish and implement efficient financial and accounting processes for managing operational solar assets, including documentation for seamless transitions from construction to operations
  • Track intercompany transactions and develop monthly reconciliation templates for consolidation purposes
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of all payment obligations and commitments for operational solar assets
  • Organize regular meetings with Asset Management and Operations & Maintenance teams to review portfolio status, receivables, commitments, and cash flow across assets
  • Assist Financial Planning & Analysis and Asset Management in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial processes for the assets
  • Manage the relationship with Treasury regarding cash management, debt obligations, partnership distributions, and ad hoc requests; responsible for providing cash forecasts to Treasury
  • Offer leadership and mentorship to other solar business analysts as needed
Accountabilities

The Lead Analyst for Solar Operations Finance is accountable for the efficient and professional execution of financial activities at the project level for a portfolio of solar assets. This role ensures that the general ledger for each entity accurately reflects all transactions and oversees the tracking and management of payment and revenue streams for each asset.
