Overview
Join a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our communities. As a Clinical Education Specialist for Acute Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff.
Responsibilities
1. Demonstrate proficiency in the educational process and collaborate with management and clinical teams to create and deliver impactful training programs.
2. Utilize assessment tools to identify educational needs and assist nursing leaders in planning targeted learning activities.
3. Conduct comprehensive needs assessments in partnership with management and nursing staff to identify developmental requirements.
4. Evaluate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and technical competencies of staff to facilitate effective orientation and professional growth.
5. Engage with staff to foster the development of their clinical, managerial, and research capabilities.
6. Encourage career progression through mentorship and support of clinical advancement initiatives.
7. Collaborate with management to establish a robust preceptor and mentorship program.
8. Work with management to design, update, and implement cost-effective educational programs focused on improving patient outcomes.
9. Partner with management to oversee new employee orientation processes.
10. Lead and contribute to performance enhancement initiatives and quality improvement activities by evaluating educational outcomes.
11. Integrate research findings into clinical practices, educational programs, and policy revisions.
12. Support and engage in unit-based research projects to strengthen the nursing profession's knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse with current BLS certification
- Minimum of three years of clinical education experience
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification within six months of hire through the American Heart Association
Pay Range
$48.73/hour
