Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner- Seasonal Float- Western Region to join our team at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron. This role requires a Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing and national certification as a nurse practitioner by a nationally accredited organization.

Job Summary:

As an Advanced Practice Nurse, you will provide primary and specialty nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings, collaborating with physicians according to standard care arrangements and specialty board certification. You will perform health assessments and physical exams, identify significant health and medical risk factors, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services.
  • Practice with a variety of specialty-based populations, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult.
  • Participate in quality monitoring through the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes on a bi-annual basis to assure quality care and per ORC requirements.
  • Develop patient education plans and participate in medical team rounds to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent critical thinking, self-motivation, and interpersonal communication skills. You should be proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database use, as well as other computer software programs for data analysis and presentations.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
