Purpose & Scope:

As a Registered Nurse on our Medical Surgical unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise and leadership skills will be essential in ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect total nursing care to assigned patients
  • Supervise and mentor assigned personnel
  • Interpret and apply hospital and department policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required
  • One year of nursing experience preferred
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required
  • Compact State Licensure in Nursing required
  • BLS certification required
Certifications:
  • ACLS certification required for designated units
  • PALS certification required for Pediatric Nurses
  • ED NRP certification required for NICU, Mother Baby, and Labor and Delivery
