Sleep Tech Specialist

As a key member of the Sleep Lab team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and program execution. This position requires strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with providers, patients, and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities- Setup and record PSGs for various studies, including OSA, MSLT, CPAP titration, and more, in accordance with department protocols.
- Maintain a functioning sleep center by performing tasks associated with established department and hospital policies and procedures.
- Additional duties may include scoring and OCST responsibilities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in diagnostic testing, including PSGs, and possess sufficient knowledge to deliver results.
- Conduct patient evaluations, identifying health risks and patient needs, with limited experience and training.
- Apply medical terminology and documentation skills in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
- Maintain equipment, products, or systems, ensuring parts inventory is sufficient.
- Perform non-routine tasks that significantly impact team performance with minimal guidance.
- Conduct research and analysis to solve non-routine problems.
- Apply broad job knowledge and basic skills in other areas.
- Provide informal guidance and support to less experienced team members.
- Support colleagues by developing self and others, building and maintaining relationships, and communicating effectively.
- Deliver excellent services by serving others with compassion, solving complex problems, and offering meaningful advice and support.
