Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Tech to join our team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As a Sleep Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support individual patients throughout the point of care program(s) to ensure exceptional patient care and effective execution of program goals.
  • Ensure effective communication with providers, patients, and caregivers, and coordinate diagnostic studies and follow-up appointments throughout the course of treatment for a specific patient population.
  • Setup and record PSGs for all types of studies, such as OSA, MSLT, CPAP titration, etc., according to department protocols.
  • Perform all tasks associated with maintaining a functioning sleep center in accordance with established department and hospital policies and procedures.
Technical Capabilities
  • Demonstrate proficiency in diagnostic testing, including PSGs, and possess sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results.
  • Have limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience conducting patient evaluations, but be capable of identifying health risks and patient needs.
  • Possess sufficient fundamental proficiency in medical terminology and documentation to successfully demonstrate medical terminology and documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Assure that parts inventory is sufficient and maintain equipment, products, or systems in practical applications of moderate difficulty.

Requirements
  • LIC-Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Tennessee.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Less than 1 year of experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
