Job Summary:

Baptist Health is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapy Lead Dosimetrist to join our team. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will be responsible for designing treatment plans, providing high-quality patient care, and collaborating with medical physicists and radiation therapists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design treatment plans using computer and/or manual computation to deliver prescribed doses to patients.
  • Provide high-quality patient care and assist physicians and medical physicists during the treatment planning process.
  • Collaborate with radiation therapists, medical physicists, and other ancillary team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to medical dosimetry staff.
  • Participate in financial management and productivity goals.
  • Ensure the safety of patients and staff by maintaining accurate records and adhering to quality control protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a medical dosimetrist.
  • Medical dosimetry certification (CMD) eligible with completion required within one calendar year of employment.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • ARRT registration and/or KROC certification preferred.
  • Experience with Varian Aria 15.5, Eclipse 15.5, and Velocity preferred.
