Job Overview:

The Senior Information Security Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of Information Assurance (IA) architectures, including the creation of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), conducting trade studies, and performing thorough requirements analysis. This position is integral to the integration of cryptographic components within advanced communication systems.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Analyze and define system security requirements in accordance with industry standards and government regulations, including those set forth by the NSA and DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (RMF).

2. Prepare and oversee the documentation necessary for NSA security certification, including System Evaluation Documents (SED), Key and Certificate Management Plans (KCMP), and Security Verification Test Plans.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure that all designs comply with established security protocols.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 9 years of experience in developing embedded software solutions, or a Graduate degree with 7 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of applicable experience is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in product certification processes.

Preferred Skills:
• Active Secret US Security Clearance.
• Familiarity with NIST, FIPS, RMF, or PPP standards.
• Experience with embedded systems and radio communications.
• Strong background in security requirements analysis and documentation.
• Proven ability to lead small teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Knowledge of emerging security standards and NSA certification processes.
