The Mechanical Maintenance Technician works alongside a team to execute preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance operations. This role involves diagnosing issues, repairing breakdowns of production and facility machinery, and ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors, and related components, including compressor valves, spark plugs, and cooling systems.
  • Overhaul compressors and engines, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup procedures.
  • Ensure safe, effective, and efficient execution of maintenance and operational tasks in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Perform maintenance on air pollution control systems.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on various equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations.
  • Identify maintenance needs and initiate work requests.
  • Operate a company vehicle within the designated area.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues effectively.
  • Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control oversight for third-party contractors during major maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must reside or be willing to relocate within a specified distance of the reporting location.
  • Maintain all necessary operations and safety training, including required Operator Qualifications for DOT-covered tasks.
  • Willing and able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the following:
    • Climb ladders and stairs ranging from 5 to 20 feet in height to conduct maintenance on equipment.
    • Lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Occasionally exert a pulling force of 130 pounds.
    • Engage in walking, standing, stooping, sitting, climbing, and carrying materials daily on various terrains.
    • Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime as needed.
    • Be available for a rotating call-out schedule.
    • Work outdoors in challenging weather conditions.
    • Work independently a significant portion of the time.
    • Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe shoes and eye and ear protection.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of maintenance/mechanical experience in the oil and gas or related sectors.
  • Three or more years of direct experience interpreting schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • One or more years of direct experience conducting pipeline integrity assessments.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, and relevant maintenance software.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including OSHA and Process Safety standards.
