We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the M80 Neuro Transitional Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic. As an RN Resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to your individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, and brain tumors.
- Establish and revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
- Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Comply with established hospital and department personnel policies.
- Use effective communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Document patient care activities in accordance with established guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) for RNs working in the Emergency Department.
