Safety Technician

This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and equipment at Southwest Shipyard, LP. The Safety Technician will work closely with the Safety Manager to implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the Safety Manager in ensuring safety policies and procedures are enforced
- Conduct regular inspections of the work area to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
- Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on safety procedures and protocols
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with supervisors and employees to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in shipyard operations or a related field
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) required
