Patient Care Assistant

The Patient Care Technician I (PCT I) is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing nursing support and care to patients under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign collection, wound care, and assistance with daily living activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in competency-based training to develop skills and knowledge necessary for the role.
- Assist with patient elimination, hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and progress activity.
- Practice patient and family-centered care, prioritizing individualized attention and support.
- Certified in Basic Life Support or Heartsaver CPR with AED within 90 days of employment.
- Preferred: Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the Texas Department of Health or completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
- Experience in patient care or a related field, or completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
