Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician I (PCT I) is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing nursing support and care to patients under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign collection, wound care, and assistance with daily living activities.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in competency-based training to develop skills and knowledge necessary for the role.
  • Assist with patient elimination, hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and progress activity.
  • Practice patient and family-centered care, prioritizing individualized attention and support.
Requirements
  • Certified in Basic Life Support or Heartsaver CPR with AED within 90 days of employment.
  • Preferred: Certified as a Nursing Assistant by the Texas Department of Health or completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
  • Experience in patient care or a related field, or completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
