Operating Room Technician Full Time 7AM-3PM Rotating Schedule

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operating Room Technician to join our team at Long Island Community Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring aseptic and sterile conditions.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing necessary equipment and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient procedure execution.
- Document patient information and procedure details accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists and certified surgical technologist credential required.
- Ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 30 pounds and stand for 70-90% of the workday.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Current BLS certification required.
- CURRENT NAST CST CERTIFICATION - OR EXPERIENCE
- Ability to work well in a non-structured environment and adapt to changing procedures and assignments.
