We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of structural engineering solutions for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Analysis: Perform engineering calculations with the aid of computer software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations to create structural design plans and details in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Site Visits and Surveys: Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and survey structural components of existing buildings.
- Quality Assurance: Perform QA/QC related tasks to ensure high-quality project deliverables.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Experience: 10+ years of professional structural engineering experience required.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural design software such as RISA, RAM, TEKLA, TEDDS, SAFE, PROFIS, etc.
- Design Principles: Strong understanding of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design principles.
- Building Codes: Knowledge of current building and material design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE7, AISC360, ACI318, ACI 530, or NDS.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
