Ramboll US Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Advanced Manufacturing department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our diverse clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead hands-on design efforts on assigned projects, from initial information gathering to final implementation.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and participate in design reviews to ensure system performance requirements are met.
  • Write original, well-structured code and make changes to existing code, using sound design practices to generate full system visualization, reporting, and alarming.
  • Configure industrial Ethernet networks, physical and virtual computer hardware/software, and create interconnections to client networks.
  • Lead the start-up, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of equipment both locally and at customer sites, field-tuning systems and control algorithms.
  • Contribute to and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), generate process control narratives, and contribute to equipment Operation & Maintenance manuals.
  • Regularly update the Controls/SCADA portion of project plans and work proactively with Project Managers to address issues related to project schedule, budget, or scope.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or greater in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in control system integration and SCADA programming, with years of experience potentially offsetting educational requirements.
  • Experience programming HMIs, with Inductive Automation's Ignition preferred, and experience with multiple platforms (Rockwell Automation, Wonderware, GE, etc.) a plus.
  • Experience configuring industrial networking systems and related hardware (primarily Ethernet-based).
  • Experience configuring computers, workstations, or servers in control systems.
  • Advanced knowledge and programming experience on the Rockwell Automation Logix 5000 platform, with experience with multiple PLC platforms (Rockwell Automation Logix 500, GE, Siemens, etc.) a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in either Machine Control or Process Control, with both areas a plus.
  • Knowledge of control system design, including electrical principles and hardware design.
  • Additionally, experience with any of the following skills is a plus: virtual machines, MES, Linux, Hyper-V, ESXi, SQL, Python, C#, Java, cybersecurity, or AutoCAD Electrical.
