Tacoma Community College (TCC) is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Adjunct Physical Education Instructor to join our esteemed faculty team. This role involves the design, preparation, and delivery of engaging courses within the Physical Education department.
About Tacoma Community College
Nestled in a vibrant community, TCC serves a diverse student body of approximately 12,000 individuals. Our mission is to foster meaningful learning experiences, promote equity, and enhance both student and community success.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and teaching courses in various areas of Physical Education, including but not limited to: Total Fitness, Advanced First Aid, Coaching Theory, and Health & Wellness.
- Utilizing different instructional modalities such as face-to-face, hybrid, or fully online formats.
- Collaborating closely with the Dean for Healthcare and the Physical Education Department Chair.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least two years of relevant work experience or current teaching experience in Physical Education.
- A Master’s degree in Physical Education or a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Experience with online teaching platforms.
- A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
