Chemistry Instructor

Bates Technical College is seeking a qualified Chemistry Instructor to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry, you will be responsible for teaching chemistry courses and providing high-quality instruction in a variety of delivery methods.

• Teach assigned chemistry courses and provide engaging instruction in a face-to-face, web-enhanced, hybrid, or online format.
• Prepare and deliver course materials, including topical outlines and standardized syllabi.
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
• Support student achievement practices to ensure retention, completion, and progression.
• Develop and implement interesting and relevant assignments that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting.
• Respond to student questions in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate student and curriculum records.
• Effectively use technology resources to enhance student access to knowledge and information.
• Develop and maintain industry-based program accreditation.

• Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience teaching at a community or technical college or teaching college freshman/sophomore level students.
• Working experience with the CANVAS learning management system.
