Job Title: HR Generalist

Truck Centers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Troy, IL. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR services to support our people and company overall.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage healthcare benefits, including new hire enrollments, terminations, changes, and monthly reconciliations.
  • Oversee employee leaves of absence and ensure accurate processing of short-term disability payments.
  • Assist with worker's compensation claims, including filing, tracking lost time, ensuring treatment payments, and completing OSHA compliance reporting.
  • Respond to unemployment claims efficiently.
  • Support performance review, goal-setting, and talent management processes.
  • Provide payroll assistance and serve as a backup for payroll as needed.
  • Manage COBRA benefits in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Draft monthly wellness and safety articles for our company newsletter.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Create and maintain job descriptions as needed.
  • Address employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, complaints, and investigations, with professionalism and timeliness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role with a comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
