As a member of the AI Platforms and Services team, you will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand their technical and business problems and integrate AI services into new products or existing systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of strategic consultation to business customers in defining or designing business processes, functions, and organizational structures, as well as researching, identifying, and internally marketing enabling technologies based on customer capability requirements.
  • Facilitate the development of the most complex enterprise business solutions that combine knowledge of particular business processes and issues, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques.
  • Specify and design large or the most complex systems, solutions, networks, infrastructure elements, or processes, selecting appropriate design standards, methods, and tools and ensuring their effective application.
  • Use appropriate tools, including models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of the most complex architectures, producing detailed component requirements, specifications, and translating these into detailed solutions/designs for implementation using selected products.
  • Provide advice on technical aspects of system development, integration, and processes, ensuring that relevant technical and business strategies, policies, standards, and practices are applied correctly.
  • Lead the resolution of a variety of architecture and business problems and serve as a technical or business lead for highly complex project initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of organization, manage expectations of customers, partners, and management, and participate in customer walkthroughs and plans, design and technical walkthroughs, and problem resolution and decision making.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of specific technical aspects in the area of expertise and provide expert advice regarding their application.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field.
  • 7 years of experience in an IT discipline and 7 years of experience in a Business discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in software architecture, system design, and solution development.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing AI/ML or software solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
  • Experience integrating workstreams to achieve results across Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, DevSecOps, and security and privacy.
  • Experience or knowledge in building applications that leverage LLMs as a service, like Vertex AI LLM APIs (PaLM, Gemini), Azure OpenAI API, Amazon Bedrock.
  • Ability to stay abreast of the latest research in the field and identify new opportunities for innovation, experiment with new approaches, and contribute to the development of novel applications of Generative AI.
  • Familiarity with LLM orchestration tools like LangChain, llamaindex, vector databases for developing RAG-based applications.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to think creatively and collaborate to apply AI to solve business problems with multiple capabilities, including experience design, change management, and process reengineering.
  • Ability to address complex software architecture challenges, including the evaluation of technologies, architectural patterns, architectural modeling, architectural views, component specification, and design principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain AI solutions to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud Service Provider Solution Architect Certification, including AWS Solution Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification or GCP Solutions Architect Expert Certification.

Scope of Responsibility

This role does not supervise/manage other employees.

Work Environment

Travel is required for this role.
