Position Overview

STI-TEC is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to support HAF A2/6 in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that support the AF IC's mission-critical operations. You will work across cross-functional teams to develop the cloud architecture, ensure security compliance, and optimize cloud performance. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver cloud consulting and senior advisory services to Defense and National Security leadership.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive cloud architecture designs, including networks, storage, and compute resources.
  • Create and execute deployment plans for cloud solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Continuously iterate on the implementation roadmap, adapting to evolving mission requirements.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure adherence to security standards and regulations.
  • Prepare security compliance reports and manage audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Monitor cloud performance metrics, uptime, and resource utilization.
  • Provide analytical reports and actionable insights to improve cloud services and efficiency.
  • Research and recommend best practices for cloud architectures tailored to specific use cases, including AI/ML and data handling.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement innovative solutions that leverage emerging technologies.
  • Create and update training materials for personnel on cloud technologies and processes.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.
  • Actively participate in agile planning cycles, standups, and sprint reviews.
  • Use agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to document workflows and track project progress.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify cloud service needs and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 10 years of cloud engineering or related roles.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Experience within the Intelligence Community, preferably AF IC.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); cloud computing service models (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS); and cloud computing deployment models in private, public, and hybrid environments.
  • Knowledgeable of computer networking concepts and protocols and network security methodologies.
  • Knowledge of IC and DoD IT risk management processes.
  • Knowledge of network access, identity, and access management in cloud computing environments.
  • Knowledge of IC, DoD, and AF business processes and ISR operations and organizations.
  • Knowledge of DoD systems engineering process.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Ability to advise senior Air Force leadership.

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
