Position Summary

We are looking for a Director of Business Development to spearhead and implement strategic sales initiatives aimed at driving business growth, enhancing market presence, and significantly increasing revenue across our diverse portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and nurturing robust relationships with prospective clients, partners, and senior executives to create new business opportunities and stimulate sales growth within enterprise and mid-sized companies. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Business Development, the ideal candidate will possess a solid background in business development, strategic planning, and relationship management, along with a proven history of success in driving business expansion and meeting revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute strategic business development plans and initiatives to meet revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Identify emerging business opportunities, market trends, and industry developments to guide business development strategies and priorities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster business growth and broaden market reach.
  • Direct the creation and implementation of sales strategies, including prospecting, lead generation, and proposal development, to secure new business opportunities.
  • Conduct client presentations, encompassing discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and proposal submissions.
  • Negotiate and finalize business agreements, contracts, and partnerships to enhance revenue growth and fulfill business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product management, and operations, to align business development efforts with overarching business goals.
  • Monitor and assess business development activities, pipeline development, and sales performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and promote continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding business development activities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to shape business development strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a successful track record in driving revenue growth and business expansion.
  • Strong grasp of business development principles, strategies, and best practices, with experience in B2B sales and relationship management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, partners, and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinker capable of identifying market opportunities, developing sales strategies, and driving business growth.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in closing deals and finalizing business agreements.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, trends, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for understanding customer needs and delivering value-added solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools for managing sales pipelines, forecasts, and reporting.
