We are in search of a seasoned, highly driven, and results-oriented Vice President of Business Development with a solid history in Factoring and Asset-Based Lending (ABL) to enhance our U.S. Business Development team. Your main objective will be to boost new business opportunities by identifying, sourcing, and securing viable prospects for Factoring and ABL transactions across diverse sectors. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of financial markets, outstanding communication abilities, and a proven history of fostering revenue growth through strategic business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business by identifying, sourcing, and securing viable prospects for Factoring and ABL transactions across various sectors, with deal sizes ranging from $500k to over $30MM.
  • Establish and nurture a robust pipeline of referral sources and direct prospects.
  • Educate referral sources and prospects about the Marco value proposition through presentations, speaking engagements, and industry conferences.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the underwriting and creditworthiness of potential clients.
  • Serve as a liaison between prospective clients and the underwriting, credit, and operations teams.
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate financing proposals and documentation with prospective clients and our underwriting team, including presenting deals to the Credit Committee.
  • Gather insights and feedback to enhance customer retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with credit, underwriting, marketing, operations, and senior management to report on key metrics and provide guidance on best practices to drive revenue growth.
  • This role requires a high level of independent initiative and focused determination.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales roles within the financial services sector, with a focus on Factoring and Asset-Based Lending preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and think creatively to devise innovative solutions.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of achieving objectives independently.
