About the Role

Inpria Corporation, a leading provider of technical solutions to semiconductor customers worldwide, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Procurement Specialist to join our diverse team. As a key member of our supply chain management team, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, equipment, and services at the most favorable terms for Inpria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet business needs
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure adequate flow of materials to meet production needs
  • Prepare and distribute reports for various business departments
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data to determine reasonable prices
  • Formulate policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services
  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history
  • Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and resolve problems related to undelivered goods
  • Write and review product specifications, maintaining a working technical knowledge of the goods or services to be purchased
  • Monitor changes affecting supply and demand, tracking market conditions, price trends, or futures markets
  • Develop and maintain SOP documentation for key procurement processes
Requirements
  • BS/BA Degree in Materials Management, Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in purchasing or buyer experience
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in a high-paced work environment
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, self-motivator, and superior organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and improve procurement processes
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel to visit both domestic and foreign suppliers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed; expected travel
