Summary:

This position involves operating ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic echocardiography images, ensuring optimal patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform inpatient and outpatient diagnostic cardiac sonograms in accordance with ASE guidelines.
  • Conduct advanced echo imaging, including echo guidance for interventional procedures.
  • Assist with intraoperative TEE.
  • Responsible for performing, archiving, and calculating pediatric cardiac ultrasound imaging.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and a segmental approach to produce diagnostic high-quality studies.
  • Participate in call schedule and satellite areas.
  • Participate in biweekly educational echo conferences and clinical research studies.
  • Preceptor for students and fellows.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
Education:
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Echocardiography required.
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Certified in Pediatric Echo by ARDMS or CCI required.
  • Certified in one (1) of the following: Fetal, Adult, Vascular preferred.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements required.
