Summary:Responsible for using sonography equipment to produce quality diagnostic echocardiography to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities:- Performs inpatient and outpatient diagnostic cardiac sonograms in accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines for digital image acquisition.
- Responsible for performing and archiving calculations for reporting of all pediatric ultrasound imaging.
- Performs complete studies on new patients per the ASE for congenital heart patients; downloads studies and provides calculations for reports per guidelines.
- Assist in performing Transesophageal Echocardiograms.
- Assist in Research studies when appropriate.
- Must be Certified in Pediatric Echo by ARDMS or CCI within first year of employment.
- At least 1 year job-related experience Preferred.
- Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Required.
- Certified in 1 one of the following: Fetal, Adult, Vascular Preferred.
- Certified in the following: Pediatric Preferred.
- Must be Certified in Pediatric Echo by ARDMS or CCI within 24 months of employment (ARDMS is preferred over CCI) Required.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements Required.
