Job Summary

This position is primarily responsible for the processing duties, for submission to ICD, for assigned mortgage loans generated by First United Bank employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs duties from loans originated from any location throughout the company and/or from various Mortgage Consultants.
  • Provides excellent customer service to borrowers and internal customers.
  • Checks reports and follows up on assigned loans.
  • Ensures timely handling of all loan files.
  • Works within all posted service levels on all loans.
  • Reviews and evaluates documentation for completeness following the established onboarding function in addition to indexing documents and collecting intent to proceed.
  • Works with the loan officer to provide updates, address any issues with loan files, and assure a smooth submission to ICD.
  • Submits completed loan files for underwriting ICD in certain cases.
  • Uses conversation log or memo sections in the current loan entry program each time a file is accessed or handled to accurately note progress of file.
  • Understands and adheres to mandatory compliance guidelines and attend training as required.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor.
  • Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
  • Dresses professionally.
  • Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Some secondary education preferred.
  • Mortgage banking experience preferred.
Technical/Functional Competencies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Ability to multi-task.
Working Conditions
  • Normal office environment.
