The role involves early identification of potential issues through both digital simulations and physical testing, as well as leading collaborative teams to address cross-system challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee vehicle program teams to fulfill water management criteria, including water wading, car wash performance, water runoff, and under-hood water control.
- Perform CAD evaluations to confirm that initial designs align with water management specifications.
- Execute vehicle-level assessments to validate vehicle programs during the prototype development stage.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues identified during CAD evaluations or physical assessments.
- Communicate attribute progress during vehicle program milestones.
- Diagnose root causes and address water-related quality concerns.
- Comprehend customer expectations, document lessons learned, enhance processes, and adjust requirements as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in automotive engineering, including internships.
- A strong enthusiasm for automotive systems, with a solid understanding of how vehicle systems operate.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage complex issues independently and make prompt decisions.
- Capable of juggling multiple tasks while prioritizing effectively.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a knack for creating clear presentations to convey key points.
- Experience in cross-functional leadership, project management, and systems engineering is advantageous.
Educational Background:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher; a master’s degree is highly preferred.
