We are seeking a skilled Package Handler Trainer to join our team at FedEx Ground. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for training and developing our Package Handlers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to efficiently and safely move packages through our operation.
Key Responsibilities- Train new Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to ensure efficient and safe package movement.
- Provide ongoing training and feedback to Package Handlers to reinforce best practices and improve performance.
- Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement and implement new training programs.
- Develop and maintain training materials and resources to support Package Handler development.
- Conduct regular training sessions and provide coaching to Package Handlers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
- Ability to train multiple Package Handlers simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with Package Handlers and management.
- Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods.
- Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
- Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as skate wheel rollers, dock carts, hand-held scanners, chutes, and unloading devices.
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity.
- Previous experience as a Package Handler or in a related role.
- Knowledge of FedEx Ground operations and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
