Job Summary:
Mission Hospital is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in the noninvasive laboratory of Cardiology Services. As an Echo Tech Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing all facets of cardiac ultrasound testing, including two-dimensional, Doppler, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac ultrasound testing, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and other related procedures
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology to provide high-quality imaging and diagnostic services
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program or have practiced as a sonographer for greater than 2 years
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer with Cardiovascular Credentialing International or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- BCLS (Adult) certification
- ACLS (Adult) certification
