Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a key member of our Breast Imaging Center, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures, monitoring and reviewing the work of staff, and facilitating patient flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform medically prescribed diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures
  • Monitor and review the work of staff, assist in the supervision of technical and support staff, and facilitate patient flow
  • Use hospital and radiology information systems to access patient information, schedule exams, and verify orders
  • Effectively assess patient information and status, and follow appropriate procedures
  • Perform visual and manual quality control checks of radiographic equipment
  • Independently implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards
Requirements
  • Certificate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • New York State license to practice Diagnostic Radiology
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Advanced Certification in Mammography
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
