Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn. As a per diem Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures, monitoring and reviewing the work of staff, and facilitating patient flow through the Breast Imaging Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform medically prescribed diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Monitor and review the work of technical and support staff, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
  • Facilitate patient flow through the Breast Imaging Center, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to clarify patient information and ensure accurate procedures.
  • Perform visual and manual quality control checks of radiographic equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues.
  • Implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, explaining procedures to patients and solving problems as needed.
Requirements
  • Certificate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • New York State license to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Advanced Certification in Mammography.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
