Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission of delivering compassionate and high-quality healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures
  • Coordinate with the circulating perioperative nurse to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the sterile field during procedures
  • Prepare medications and solutions for use during procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse
  • Maintain accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduated from a surgical technologist program or 1-year experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery, Certified (TS-C) through the National Board for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
