Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled OB Surgical Technologist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Westover Hills. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential in providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the delivery of quality surgical care by coordinating with the circulating perioperative nurse during surgical procedures.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies according to manufacturer's recommendations and specifications for use during surgical procedures.
  • Monitor the sterile field during procedures and take appropriate measures to ensure integrity.
  • Initiate corrective action for any break in technique.
  • Maintain accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure to ensure that no foreign objects are retained in the surgical wound.
Requirements
  • Graduated from a Surgical Technologist program or has 1-year experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist.
  • Must have and maintain a surgical technologist certification (CST or TS-C).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
