About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the delivery of quality surgical care, coordinating with the circulating perioperative nurse during surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, gathering and preparing sterile supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Supply sterile instruments and supplies to the sterile field in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Monitor the sterile field during procedures and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Prepare medications and solutions for use during procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program or 1-year experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board for Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery, Certified (TS-C) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
