Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist PRN to join our team at Methodist Hospital Landmark. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of quality surgical care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field during surgical procedures.
  • Coordinate with the circulating perioperative nurse to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
  • Prepare and supply sterile instruments and equipment to the surgical team as needed.
  • Monitor the sterile field during procedures and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Prepare medications and solutions for use during procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program or 1 year of experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery, Certified (TS-C) is required.
