Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Field Sales Representative to join our team at UNFI. As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, ensuring they have the right products at the right time in the right placement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with assigned customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Order products that align with customer needs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain effective business relationships with customers through regular communication and follow-up.
  • Responsible for daily travel to customer locations and ensuring prompt arrival at assigned routes.
  • Rotate stock, remove out-of-code products, and process merchandise returns and issue credits according to company policy.
  • Ensure the neat and orderly appearance of UNFI products and assist in hanging shelf tags and promotional POS/POP materials and resets.
  • Sell promotional and sales programs as assigned and perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.
  • Follow through on customer product requests and keep management informed of area activities and significant concerns.
  • Attend meetings as required and provide backup for other field sales representatives when needed.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance that meets UNFI requirements.
  • Good judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Daily travel and ability to get in and out of a car multiple times per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and tolerate exposure to store and warehouse conditions.
