Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Worker to join our team at Saint John's On The Lake. As a key member of our household staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Housekeeping and Maintenance
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning resident rooms, public areas, and common spaces.
  • Handle chemicals safely and follow established procedures for cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Complete work orders as needed and maintain a clean and organized housekeeping cart.
Resident Support
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  • Respect residents' autonomy and dignity, while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Communication and Teamwork
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Collaborate with other household staff to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Participate in in-services, meetings, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in residential care or a related field preferred.
Skills and Qualities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform daily housekeeping tasks and assist residents with mobility needs.
