Position Overview:
As a Financial Advisor at Coastal Credit Union, you will leverage your sales expertise and interpersonal skills to assist our members in identifying their financial objectives and requirements. Your role will involve assessing their needs, collecting relevant information, and analyzing this data to formulate and present tailored recommendations for suitable insurance and investment products.
Your Contributions:
- Creating and executing an annual business strategy while maintaining a strong presence in assigned branches.
- Employing our established sales methodology to engage with members, uncovering their financial aspirations and plans. Subsequently, you will prepare and present personalized recommendations based on your financial analyses.
- Ensuring client retention by conducting annual reviews to discuss their goals, needs, and any changes in their circumstances or available products and services.
- Building relationships with Select Employee Groups (SEGs) and community organizations to enhance visibility and drive business outcomes.
- Facilitating seminars in-branch or at SEG locations.
- Collaborating with other advisory team members, Planning Specialists, and departmental support staff to fulfill the needs of our members and clients.
- A self-motivated individual who enjoys setting personal goals and devising innovative strategies to achieve them.
- A personable professional who is enthusiastic about meeting new clients, fostering genuine relationships, and serving as their trusted advisor for financial matters.
- A problem-solver who finds fulfillment in addressing concerns and guiding clients to resolutions.
- An individual passionate about advising others on financial issues and staying informed about new strategies in the industry.
- A minimum of five years in sales or advisory roles within the securities brokerage, advisory, or insurance sectors.
- A four-year degree in Business, Finance, or Insurance, or equivalent professional experience.
- Possession of FINRA Series 7, 63/65 (or 66) licenses.
- Licenses in NC Life, Long-term Care Insurance, and Medicare Supplement.
- CFP designation is preferred.
