Electrical Engineer II Job Description

Sechan Electronics is a leading Department of Defense contractor dedicated to the development, testing, and manufacturing of military defense electronics systems and subsystems. As a key player in the industry, we strive for excellence in every aspect of our operations.

The Electrical Engineer II will serve as the primary technical point of contact for a wide range of US DoD products, systems, and services. This individual will be responsible for participating in engineering development, prototyping, design verification, and transition to production on complex analog, digital, and radio frequency (RF) products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with program management, procurement, operations, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, test, production, business development, and contracts teams.
  • Develop innovative ideas to support internal research and development.
  • Implement improvements in product design and test throughput.
  • Interface directly with customers and suppliers to address technical issues.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and leadership to engineering and test staff.
  • Apply electrical engineering principles and theories to solve customer problems.
  • Support full program life cycles, from concept to sustainment.
  • Participate in design processes using established design and development process models.
  • Create, review, and approve Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variances (RFVs).
  • Support systems engineering, software engineering, and mechanical engineering efforts.
  • Develop and update corporate and engineering processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a 4-year accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years of experience in design and production of high-reliability DoD products and systems.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing technical proposals and developing engineering estimates.
  • Test engineering experience, including instrumentation, procedure development, automated software development, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement test plans and procedures and test fixtures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
Work Environment:
  • Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment, including sitting/standing for up to 9 hours a day, and using basic office tools.
  • Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Thursday; Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with additional hours as needed to meet demand.
  • 9/80 work schedule.
  • Office located in Lititz, PA.
