Safety and Security Operations Manager

Oversees and orchestrates all initiatives related to the safeguarding and protection of team members and visitors.
Responsibilities:- Serves as the primary contact between the Security Division, various departments, and external law enforcement and emergency response agencies to maintain effective communication and ensure adequate support during special events or crises.
- Formulates the budget for the Security Patrol Division, ensuring adherence by tracking departmental expenditures and seasonal staffing levels, taking corrective measures as necessary.
- Facilitates and engages in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection process for personnel within the park's Security Patrol Division through on-site interviews and outreach at job fairs and educational institutions. Oversees the creation, execution, and assessment of comprehensive training programs for staff to guarantee optimal levels of safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity. Manages the scheduling and oversight of these employees, providing coaching, guidance, and, when required, disciplinary actions.
- Enforces all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations on company premises. Actively participates in the apprehension of individuals suspected of violations and takes appropriate measures, including detention or removal from the premises. Responds to incidents involving guest or employee health and safety; investigates and assists in delivering emergency medical care as directed by safety personnel. Compiles reports on all occurrences.
- Designs and, upon approval from the Director, supervises the execution of a strategy for the park's security patrol program that ensures the safety of employees and guests while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
- Complies with and enforces all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, attendance, and equal employment opportunities, while demonstrating a commitment to customer service in all facets of employment.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement Management from an accredited institution.
- 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in Law Enforcement is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Knowledge of fire prevention and response protocols.
- Possess or be eligible to obtain armed Security Officer certification in the relevant states.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of performing effectively under pressure.
- Strong analytical and planning abilities with a keen attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, particularly in public interactions and managing a large workforce.
- Proven supervisory, management, and financial skills, along with proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory or random drug screening in accordance with company policy, unless restricted by law.
- Must successfully complete a background check, which may encompass credit, criminal history, driving records, prior employment, education, and personal references, in accordance with company policy, unless restricted by law.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to fulfill business requirements.
