Job Summary:

The Audiovisual Technician uses independent decision-making skills to provide technical and system support to clients who use Educational Technology Services. This role requires excellent communication and time management skills, as well as a detailed working knowledge of various audio and video systems maintained by the Department of Educational Technology Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Department's activities in one or more areas of expertise, including Audio Engineering, Video Engineering, Distance Learning, or Audio/Video Digital Technologies.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the Department's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum one year of related work experience preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of trends and new equipment in audio recording, sound reinforcement, and other related areas.
  • Ability to use a computer and all software necessary to the position, including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Expertise in two or more modern programming languages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Knowledge of effective planning and design techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
